she slid down the mountain path, turned with it and saw the high narrow ledge lined with rugged stone edges topped with natural slate spires.  She walked swiftly looking up with exhilaration, then noticed the refinement the spires and realized that they were carved and etched. they belonged to the slate palace that appeared behind the hedge.  she ran along the hedge until it became a low grassy wall.  she came to a place to climb over, but ran on.  the place was covered with grave ornaments for St. Sebastian.  she climbed the wall at the next open space and found that she was at the edge of land.  she sank back on herself holding on to stone ornaments for grounding. she looked over the black water to the gray domes and walls weightless in the ivory mist.

she was suspended as we were.

what is the word for horror and euphoria together?

when she laughed and cried at the same time she levitated.

sorrow and love is compassion.

she felt awe in her body

the bright ache of a trombone

her heart glowing ivory like the mist

she felt fear, death fear

softened and embraced

her breath stopped as she sank back on herself

she felt everyone at once

everyone

at

once

and saw everything and everyone in space and in time appearing and vanishing. appearing and vanishing. appearing. becoming. and vanishing. appearing. becoming. and vanishing. creating the halo. the aura. the glow around our home, a fortress in ether. stone and ephemeral. stone and ephemeral. ancient and temporary. fortified and vulnerable. solid and vapor. solid and vapor. everyone. everything.

why she didn't run through the relics.

she knows and reveres us.

all of all of us.

we are pure.  we are more extraordinary than life.

we.

we exist. we vanish. between the existing and vanishing. infinity of thought. infinity of feeling. infinity.

brave words dare approach us.
